Turning to the Fall Season

Dear Wholesome Circle,

As summer has wound down, we find ourselves stepping into the energy of Autumn and a beautiful time of reflection and gratitude. It’s a moment to honour the abundance we’ve gathered and to prepare for the subtle shift towards the introspection of Winter. The astrological significance of this period invites us to heighten our passions, desires, and lust for life while urging a diplomatic sense of being and communication.

Finding Centre Through Breath and Meditation

Enveloped by these swirling energies of change, it’s essential to keep ourselves grounded. One of the most potent tools is our breathing. Just returning to the rhythm of our breathing, we find our centre and make our passage through this transition with grace. Meditation, too, offers sanctuary—a place where we can connect with our inner wisdom while calling in the dreams that align with our divine purpose.

Exploring the Depths:

Visceral Abdominal Massage Training

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve deepened my practice with a certification in Visceral Abdominal Massage. This ancient technique focuses on the health and balance of our internal organs and is related to the emotional and energetic self with the below organs having correlation to these energetic parts:

Liver

The emotional center of anger and frustration, working the liver can cleanse kept emotions and replace it with peace and clear-mindedness.

Stomach

The emotional seat of worry and stressful feelings, gentle bodywork here will calm nerves and aid digestion.

Kidneys

Linked with fear, supporting the kidneys can help us face our deepest fears and move forward with courage.

This training is enhancing my ability to support you in your healing journey, often addressing physical pain caused by stagnation of organs, and I look forward to integrating these insights into our sessions.

Nurturing Connections:

Mindfulness-Centered Couples Therapy

In addition to the visceral work, I’ve also up to my eyeballs in Rob Fisher’s Mindfulness-Centered Couples Therapy training through Embodywise. This approach integrates mindfulness into the heart of relationship work, fostering deeper connection and understanding between partners. Mindfulness allows couples to slow down, truly listen, and see each other with fresh eyes, creating a space for healing and growth.

What I'm Reading

When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chödrön

This book encourages us to embrace discomfort as a gateway to growth—a perspective that aligns perfectly with Structural Integration Bodywork and Hakomi. These somatic practices, invite us to release deep-seated physical patterns, just as Chödrön guides us to let go of emotional and mental blocks. Rather than avoiding what feels difficult, both approaches teach us that by leaning into challenges, we open up space for real understanding and transformation. It’s through facing discomfort, whether in our bodies or our minds, that we find newfound freedom, ease, and flexibility, unlocking our potential for lasting growth and resilience.

The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard

In this best selling book, Brendon Burchard encourages us to take control of our lives with intention and purpose—an idea that beautifully mirrors the mission of Wholesome Therapies. Just as our work together aims to free the body from imbalanced tension and bring it into natural alignment, Burchard’s message encourages us to break free from unhealthy fear and doubt, stepping boldly into our potential. It’s about actively choosing to live with greater purpose, unlocking new levels of freedom and vitality. Whether it's your physical posture or your mindset, true transformation comes when you embrace your power, align with your goals, and take inspired action toward a more empowered life.

Embracing Change Together

As we move through this transitional time, I invite you to explore these practices in your own life. Whether it is finding a daily moment of stillness, nurturing your internal organs and body with diverse movements, or bringing more mindfulness into your relationships, these small shifts in daily routine can lead to profound life change.

Thank you for being a part of this community. I’m honored and humbled to be walking this path with you. I am excited to share these new insights in our upcoming sessions.
